Want to explore the City of Lights without your luggage weighing you down? You’ve come to the right place!

This article lists some of the best trustworthy luggage storage facilities in Paris, as well as relevant costs, opening hours, and addresses.

With these options, you’ll be able to make the most out of your stay at a reasonable price.

Private Luggage Storage in Paris

Global storage networks allow you to conveniently drop off your luggage at a nearby hotel, restaurant, or retail store until you’re ready to travel back home. Here are some of the most trustworthy private luggage storage companies in Paris:

Nannybag Luggage Storage

➡️ Cost per luggage: €6 per 24 hours

Nannybag connects travelers with Nannies; businesses, shops, restaurants, and hotels that can safely store luggage while you go about your day in the city. It works much like an Airbnb but for bags instead of people. Some Nannies even offer the use of free Wi-Fi and toilet facilities as part of the package.

Nannybag stores bags and suitcases of all shapes and sizes, including foldable buggies and weekenders. The maximum weight limit per luggage is 66 pounds (30 kg), while the maximum height, depth, and width per luggage is 60 inches (1.5 m). Insurance of up to £1,500 is included with every booking.

With over 200 storage points in Paris, there’s a good chance that there’s a Nannie or two near the area you’re visiting.

To make a booking, enter your location in the Nannybag app or website, as well as the number of bags you want to drop off and your pick-up time. Nannies will appear on the map in red. Select your preferred storage location and click “book.” And that’s it—the only thing you need to do is pay online and complete your reservation!

If you’ve had a change of plans, don’t worry: Nannybag offers free cancellations as long as you cancel before your booked deposit time.

LuggageHero

➡️ Cost per luggage: €5.90 per bag per 24 hours, and €5.90 for any additional day

LuggageHero allows you to safely drop off your luggage in local “Stash Points” across Paris—coffee shops, cafes, retail outlets, hotels, etc.—and pick it up when convenient.

Like other luggage storage companies, it doesn’t charge per luggage size or weight but rather per number of bags. It doesn’t have size or weight restrictions, so you can store as many large suitcases as you want without fear!

LuggageHero offers free cancellations on unused bookings. Every luggage is insured up to €1,100, giving you that added peace of mind while exploring the city.

Vertoe

➡️ Cost per luggage: €5.95 for 24 hours

Vertoe is an on-demand luggage storage company with more than 20 drop-off points in Paris.

Most of these drop-off points are located near major landmarks, like the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral, and L’arc de Triomphe. You’ll also find accessible points near major train stations.

Vertoe has an insurance policy of $5,000, the highest on this list.

Radical Storage

➡️ Cost per luggage: from €5 per 24 hours

Radical Storage partnered up with over 150 local businesses to provide travelers with accessible, reliable storage whenever and wherever in Paris.

All locations are well-known across the city, verified, and supervised for maximum security. You can store whatever luggage you have no matter how big or small, though items like electric bikes and surfboards come with an extra cost.

Every booking comes with a €3,000 insurance policy.

➡️ Cost per luggage: €12 to €15

City Locker is a public storage facility that allows travelers to book individual lockers to store their luggage. Each locker comes with two independent security codes, one for the entrance and another for the locker. Both codes are sent via email and SMS upon booking.

City Locker has five facilities in Paris, located near major attractions like the Eiffel Tower, the Opera, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Gare du Nord, and Châtelet–Les Halles. You can drop off your luggage at any time between 8 am and 10 pm, seven days a week.

Every locker measures 18 in x 24 in x 33 in (48 cm x 61 x 85 cm; W x H x D), allowing you to fit up to four mid-sized suitcases inside. The facility is under constant surveillance and comes with €1,500 per locker insurance.

Public Left-Luggage Storage

Paris has a number of public left-luggage storage facilities in or near train stations and airports.

For 24 hours, small lockers cost around €5.50, medium lockers €7.50, and big lockers €9.50.

For each additional day, the rate is €5 per luggage and per 24-hour period.

Warning: Some storage facilities only accept payment by coins and some only by card.

You’ll find these lockers at:

  • Gare d’Austerlitz: Found in services areas in platforms 1 to 7. Available from 7:00 am to 11:30 pm.
  • Gare de l’Est: Found near Paul bakery next to the metro entrance. Available from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm.

Wrapping Up

With the luggage storage options above, you won’t have to worry about dragging your suitcases around in your last few hours in Paris.

Lockers often cost more than drop-off points, ranging from €5 to upwards of €15 depending on the locker’s size. They also have weight restrictions and other limitations, so they’re not as flexible as the alternative. Still, they’re excellent options for those who value extra security.
